TRANSLATION PROJECT MANAGEMENT
In January, we received an interesting request for the translation and incorporation of subtitles into the video of a professional medical lecture. After analyzing the professionalism of the text, we decided to use a translator - a medical expert (so-called SME - Subject Matter Expert). First, however, it was necessary to make a transcript of the audio recording, as the customer did not have it available. In this phase, we used the technology of automatic transcription of speech into text. This was followed by the timing of the transcript in the subtitling program and its translation by specialists in medical texts. After checking the translation and fine-tuning the timing, we inserted the subtitles directly into the video - in accordance with the customer's request, while we also adjusted the format of the subtitles according to his wishes for better readability. Although there may be a bit more work with the translation of subtitles and their technical processing, we are always pleased with an interesting translation project and the joy has also doubled customer satisfaction.
